Live music is an experience that cannot be simulated or pre-taped, warmed over like frozen food. There is something that happens when we all come together which is irreplaceable. Now, this live music experience can be made and captured on the IO Stage in transparent detail from musicians chaired across the globe while immersing each listener in the real-time performance. It is a new stage, unconfined to a single space.

Whether your ticketed spot is at home or one of our host venues, IO Stage gives each audience member a curated concert seat in the middle of the music.

Stage

Music has always had an intimate relationship with the performance space. As the stone cathedrals inspired Palestrina’s polyphonies, so the subterranean stage shook forth Wagner’s epic swells; ever-reaching romanticism pressed venue walls wider and wider, even as modern productions  contracted back with the advent of microphones, exploring tones on the edge of silence that were once saved only for the realm of whispers. Now, in the headphone-cupped palace of our own ears, we tread new soundscapes of possibility on this stage which reverberates with the struggles and unwieldy wonder of our time.

3D Sound

3D sound lets you lean in to particular instruments, freeing each listener to hear the same work in their own unique way, and freeing composers to reimagine their composition:

"Our Movement"

IO lets us engage with the concert like never before, each adding our own voice to the music by shaping the composition while it is being performed:

Using an uncompressed audio infrastructure that tames latency and the delays which made polyphonic nuance inaccessible until now, IO enables us to both perform and partake in this new shared space from anywhere on the planet. We can be sharing in the concert together in real-time, whether it is listening on the lawn side by side at a host venue, walking through a curated landscape stage, or perched in a cozy nook somewhere on your own.

App

Like the joists and beams of an interactive concert hall, one creative element joining this revolutionary stage together is the IO App. Constructed to bring performers and the audience together into the same dynamic space, this key feature turns phones into much more than tickets to a show, it opens the gateway into new forms of musical experience:
